Monday's Final Word

Ed: I'm not surprised by the connection, but I am surprised it took this long to emerge. The SPI were darlings of the Left in San Francisco. And unfortunately, now darlings of my formerly beloved Dodgers.

The interruption was over in less than two minutes and Harris continued her message. At the beginning of her remarks, Harris had suggested that voting for her fulfills God's will.

"In just nine days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. And on this day, then on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded God expects us to help Him," Harris said through laughter, garnering applause. "We got work to do."

Ed: All Hail Messiah Kamala.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis.—It is easy to find people focused on the economy in the parking lots of a suburban shopping center here, about 25 miles south of Milwaukee. The prices of everyday goods are higher than when former President Donald Trump left office, even though the unemployment rate is below the national average.

Several voters feeling the sting of those higher prices in this battleground state weren’t impressed with Vice President Kamala Harris’s economic platform, according to interviews The Wall Street Journal conducted for its “Chasing the Vote” podcast series.

Harris: Right. That's the question... Trump will terminate their Constitutional rights.

But the First Amendment [will be gone]. The Second Amendment. I'm in favor of the Second Amendment. I don't believe we should be taking anybody's guns away.

Ed: No, this is not parody. Five years ago, Harris called for "mandatory buybacks" of certain firearms, which is explicit government confiscation. Now she wants to pretend that she's the NRA's best ally? Apparently you CAN make this **** up.

Ed: Word salads all the way down.

In an effort to secure more support from male voters before Election Day, vice-presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., played Madden NFL together on the live-streaming platform Twitch on Sunday. ...

Walz and Ocasio-Cortez finished their game after playing one half. Walz played for the Minnesota Vikings, while Ocasio-Cortez played for the Buffalo Bills. The final score was 0-0

Ed: That makes Walz' "ran a pick-6" even more absurd. If AOC had gotten a pick-6, she would have scored six points on the TD, which is why it's called a "pick-6." Walz knows even less than Vance thinks.

That the Obamas have been essentially running the country from their second palace in DC’s Kalorama neighborhood is an open secret in the capital. In a different era they’d continue doing so forever, but in America unfortunately one needs popular support to keep power. But the Obamas have been out of the electoral game for so long that the only emotion they know to express is impatience with mortal disobedience. Hence the latest appearance in royal garb, flashing cobalt Hera-claws and chiding “y’all” about hesitation to vote for the candidate they selected. “Now, don’t get me wrong, voters have every right to ask hard questions of any candidate,” she said. “But…” She listed reasons not to ask hard questions.

This, following Barack’s angry-Dad speech to thirtysomething young men for failing to vote for a 60-year-old Vice President who “went to college with you,” has to end badly. Barack was quick in 2011, but lost 100% of his humor since, while Trump for all his faults is quite funny, sometimes even intentionally. Descending from the heavens to demand the rabble stop laughing guarantees they will. Do they really not see it?

Ed: Nope. They are just like the elites from Academia whence they sprang. They have no sense of humor, only an overwhelming sense of entitlement to lecture everyone on what choices they should make.
