Live Results: Tennessee Primary

Marsha Blackburn is running tonight! And this time, it's not to chase down Kimberly Cheatle to get answers over Secret Service failures. Blackburn will face off against a primary challenger in Tennessee's primary, and there's more down-ballot fun to boot.

As always, we'll have live results as they come in. And once again, we are partnering with our friends at Decision Desk HQ to provide real-time vote results after polls close, which will happen at various times tonight. The widgets below will list those times, and will automatically update. Please note: The House primaries are all available in a single widget for each party; you will need to use the drop-down box to choose the race you want.

We're able to do this, of course, in large part because of the support of our VIP and VIP Gold members. Become a HotAir VIP member today and use promo code 2024 to receive a 50% discount on your membership.

Polls close at 8 pm ET, and our DDHQ partners expect results to be complete within a couple of hours. Rural counties will report the quickest, but the cities should follow soon afterward. As I noted, there isn't a lot of drama here; Blackburn did draw a primary challenger, Tres Wittum, but he's had no significant fundraising and got less than 400 votes two years ago in a House challenge in TN-05.

The Democrat primary to nominate a challenger to Blackburn might be more interesting, especially with the large number of candidates in the mix. State Rep. Gloria Johnson raised the most cash by far; Marquita Bradshaw came in a distant second with just $35,000.

Also, Dems will compete for the chance to challenge incumbent House Republican in TN-05, Andy Ogles, a considered likely-to-safe GOP seat in November. That's a three-way race, with Cyril Focht winning the Dem money chase this cycle.
