WSJ: Inside the White House Cover-Up of Biden's Decline

Joe Biden insisted on Friday that only "the Lord Almighty" could get him to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. Conversely, only a massive cover-up at the White House of Biden's cognitive decline has kept him in it.

However, that may not last much longer. After Biden's disastrous reveal at the presidential debate nearly two weeks ago, even some of the facilitators of the con seem to be abandoning ship. The Wall Street Journal gives its readers an inside look at the cover-up by Biden's aides, and just how bad the president has gotten:

Senior White House advisers for more than a year have aggressively stage-managed President Biden’s schedule, movements and personal interactions, as they sought to minimize signs of how age has taken a toll on the oldest president in U.S. history.

The White House has limited Biden’s daily itinerary and shielded him from impromptu exchanges. Advisers have restricted news conferences and media appearances, twice declining Super Bowl halftime interviews—an easy way to reach millions of voters—and sought to make sure meetings with donors stuck to scripted pleasantries.

Senior aides dismissed travel suggestions over worries the president didn’t have the stamina for them, including an idea for Biden to make weekly cross-country trips in 2022 to tout the benefits of his infrastructure law.

Think about that in terms of a presidential campaign. About the same time that the Easter Bunny staged this stunning intervention on the White House lawn, senior advisers had concluded that Biden couldn't even campaign for his signature legislation. Heck, they wouldn't even let him talk to reporters extemporaneously in 2022, not even in his back yard:

Did no one consider what that meant for a presidential campaign two years later? The pandemic had concluded and a basement campaign wasn't going to work a second time.

The WSJ makes sure to mention that Biden's top advisers lied the whole time, and even apparently to White House staffers of lower levels. That may be where these leaks are now originating, as the report describes their own shock at Biden's debate performance:

When the 81-year-old president took the stage at last month’s debate, his abysmal performance in the 90-minute event stunned members of his party, including some White House staffers who rarely spend one-on-one time with Biden.

That may be an important key to what happens from here on out. We have already seen a stream of leaks about what's happening at the White House since the debate. NBC News used White House staff sources to report that Hunter Biden has inserted himself into policy discussions involving his father. Kevin McCarthy told Fox News yesterday that Jill Biden has been part of Biden's Oval Office meetings for a long time too, which is less problematic since Jill isn't a convicted felon, a former crack addict, and an unregistered foreign agent connected to fronts for the CCP.

But McCarthy did warn in February that Biden couldn't handle in-person meetings without notecards:

"He still has a teleprompter when you meet behind closed doors," McCarthy told the "Bottom Line" co-hosts on FOX Business. "But the teleprompter are cards. I found when I met with him, it would just be a couple of them. He would read from the card."

McCarthy said that it was difficult to "deviate" from Biden during private negotiations, referencing when he spoke with the president on the debt ceiling.

"He just sticks to the cards," he said of Biden. "And if you go, if you deviate from the cards, he can't continue onward there.

"Look, he has served the country, regardless whether you like it or not. I respect the man for serving the country. I thank him for that service, but he is not of the age that is best to be able to be serving in the presidency, especially the position that he is to going forward with what I have watched to serve again."

In other words, this isn't a case of Biden having "one bad night," or even a sudden and sharp decline. The WSJ report reveals a man who has slowly become incompetent for the office he holds, and rather that deal with that honestly (and constitutionally), the top people in the White House and Democrat Party chose to cover it up. And then they chose to prop Biden up for another term in a ghastly electoral version of Weekend At Bernie's.

The Biden family are complicit in this cover-up, and may be masterminding it. But also complicit are every Cabinet secretary, every senior official in the West Wing, and especially Kamala Harris.

And it is time to hold them all accountable for their fraud on the American people.
