You’ve heard of the Durham Report. How many of us have heard of the Rubio Report? That flew under the radar this week for most of us, but not our friend Adam Baldwin. Marco Rubio’s investigation concludes that COVID-19 resulted from “a serious biosafety incident” in the Wuhan lab, and that Beijing has covered it up ever since. But what do the two reports have to do with each other? “Power,” Adam says. “It all goes back to plundering the Treasury,” and the grip on power by the power elite in the US as well as China.

Welcome back to our VIP video series “The Amiable Skeptics,” featuring my friend Adam Baldwin! Adam is well-known for his long and storied Hollywood career, starting with My Bodyguard, and especially for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, Firefly, its film sequel Serenity, Chuck, and The Last Ship.
“Maybe literal profit wasn’t the point, right?” I ask, “It might be that they were profiting off the power that they were able to grab,” thanks to the pandemic. And the Biden Inc connections to China over the years preceding the pandemic also plays into why the Biden administration pushed back against the lab-leak theory, which we know from another major report. “The House Oversight report,” I add, “show[ed] the connections between CEFC and … the Biden family over the last several years.” In that sense, “literal profit” may well have been the issue, given CEFC’s close ties to China’s intelligence service and Xi Jinping regime at the time.
Returning to the Durham report, Adam notes the warning that John Durham gives its readers about the necessity of integrity to a functioning republic. Do we have that now? Adam’s skeptical. “Any new regulations that Durham may have recommended wouldn’t matter,” he says, “because the people in the Deep State aren’t abiding by the current laws. I mean,” he continues, “look at the same thing at the border. They’re not abiding by current immigration laws, and … they don’t care.”
Speaking of “not caring,” Adam and I get around to the media’s attempt to bury the Durham Report’s findings and breathe new life into the Russiagate hoax. Philip Bump at the Washington Post may be the worst offender but he’s hardly the only reporter trying to sell nonsense to protect Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden. The lack of integrity is not just an issue in public office.
