Looks like Bernie Sanders won’t be satisfied with a “quarantine” of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, but instead wants a permanent vaccine. On ABC’s This Week, the erstwhile Democratic presidential contender demanded the DNC chair’s resignation, and a different direction for the Democratic Party.

Bernie Sanders on Sunday called for Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to resign after leaked emails appear to show party officials trying to aid Hillary Clinton’s campaign during the primary.
The Vermont senator said he was “disappointed” but “not shocked” at what the reported WikiLeaks emails purported to show. Top DNC officials mocked Sanders during the primary race, and at least one email exchange showed officials considered using Sanders’ religious beliefs as a way to hurt his campaign, according to the New York Times.
“I told you long time ago that the DNC was not running a fair operation, that they were supporting Secretary Clinton,” Sanders told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on This Week. “So what I suggested to be true six months ago turned out to be true.”
What about the other leaders in the DNC — CEO Amy Dacey and CFO Brad Marshall — who discussed attacking Sanders over his religious beliefs? He told Jake Tapper on CNN’s State of the Union that it was an “outrage”:

So far, though, Sanders hasn’t specifically demanded their resignations, even though their collusion is more clear than Wasserman Schultz’. So far Sanders has also insisted that he’ll continue to support Hillary Clinton in an attempt to maintain unity against Donald Trump. After the revelations of the last two days, though, one has to wonder how many of his supporters will stick around.
