On November 5, we won a great battle in which we took the White House, the Senate, and kept the House of Representatives. 

It was a tremendous victory and was, until the campaign was over, uncertain that we could do it. We all breathed a sigh of relief, patted ourselves on the back, and rightly celebrated the defeat of the forces of darkness. 

But as with the victory at the Battle of the Bulge, however huge the accomplishment, the victory was instrumental – necessary to achieve the ultimate goal, but without sustained effort, struggle, and enduring many hardships ahead the ultimate triumph would never have happened. 

President Trump is our General Patton in this analogy (simile?). He accomplished what seemed impossible and is calling us to redouble our efforts to achieve ultimate victory. 

We here at HotAir are political junkies and are eager to soldier on and hungry to defeat the progressives who have done so much grave damage to our country and civilization. Inflation is still too high, the border is still insecure, the Deep State is still determined to #resist and save itself, the world is in far more chaos than just four years ago, the transnationalists are still in charge in much of the West, and the Biden administration has planted landmines for Trump to step on everywhere. 

And don't forget the Senate Democrats and the RINOs. Separately or together, they can slow or stymie Trump's agenda. 

In other words, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition."
