Maybe Jen Rubin won't have to resign from the Washington Post. It's looking like some of the most partisan "journalists" are being shown the door.
The Washington Post is leading the way, but other outlets like MSNBC and CNN will be shedding even more of their worst "journalists" as the collapse of the Pravda Media continues apace.
what the hey: I was informed Monday that I will be removed as senior politics editor at the end of the year. I will leave it to others to explain why." Eggen says he is "crushed" by the news. I have reached out to @washingtonpost for comment.

Washington Post Senior Politics Editor will be removed from his position by the end of the year, although it appears he may remain on the payroll. As you probably know, journalists are heavily unionized, and the unions are extremely left-wing, but you can be sure Eggen will be shown the door at the next round of layoffs.
And layoffs there will be, or should I say further layoffs at the failing Washington Post. It has been bleeding money and hemorrhaging subscribers, and Bezos seems done with coddling the children who work at the paper.
CNN is announcing mass layoffs and pay cuts, and MSNBC is being sold and will likely dump some of their "stars."
Perfect time for layoffs and a gutting of this former 'news' channel.. ➡️@CNN posts lowest-rated Tuesday in 24 years https://t.co/Xi7dsygAA0 #FoxNews

Top executives at these companies were likely fine with all the ridiculous #resistance nonsense when it helped their bottom line, but the opposite is true now as the credibility of the media has been shredded.
Even Mourning Joe and Mika Biatchzinski are trying to make nice with Trump, although that is likely a loser of a proposition given their viewership.
It's hard to see how any of this ends well for the Pravda Media. They have been shedding readers who want the news to cater to a smaller but more loyal audience who want their biases confirmed. In the process, journalists with any shred of objectivity or even a modest left-leaning bias have been driven out, and the best of them have built independent media empires such as The Free Press.
The current crop of readers is leaving now that the #resistance has failed, save the few holdouts who are ensconced in jungles on Pacific Islands, refusing to acknowledge the war is lost. Trying to get back readers who value journalism means sacrificing the current subscribers in what will likely be a vain attempt.
To be honest, if the Washington Post and other newspapers had retained their prior left-leaning but not insane business model, they likely would have survived in some form. Now it looks like most outlets are in a death spiral. They may survive in some form, but with power and influence much diminished. Failing that, they will simply die.
Bezos is smart to try to save the paper, and if he can I think the world would be a little better place. Not because I want the Washington Post to be able to propagandize but because having an outlet with infrastructure to collect news in Washington, even a flawed one, has some value.
But perhaps a few enterprising independent journalists can fill that niche, developing good contacts and providing multiple perspectives. There certainly is a market for it, and it's not like the Post did a good job covering the news.
Whatever happens in the long run, watching the self-immolation of the Pravda Media is satisfying.
It couldn't happen to a more deserving group of jerks. Next up: Jennifer Rubin, I hope.
