In the 21st century, both Europe and the United States have conducted a grand experiment: does opening our borders to masses of undereducated Islamists from mostly poor, violence-ridden Middle Eastern countries improve the well-being of our civilization? 

To be sure, this was a stupid experiment. I could have answered the question without conducting the experiment, but we live in a world where the National Science Foundation gives out DEI grants and funds experiments about the effects of cocaine on the mating habits of fish, so I shouldn't be surprised that the powers-that-be wanted to do something this stupid and damaging. 

The experiment was run, and the answer was a resounding " No!"

No doubt, there are plenty of wonderful Muslims who contribute in many ways to our society. I am not suggesting that all Muslims are terrorists or bad citizens, but if you can't see that the mass importation of people who openly despise Western Civilization, declare their commitment to Islamizing our societies, and impose Sharia law on Westerners has turned out badly, I invite you to move to Iran or Syria. 

America, due to its lack of proximity to the Middle East, has suffered the least from this self-imposed disaster. Europe, on the other hand, may collapse due to the idiocy of its elites. As a general rule, America does a better job of integrating migrants, and with a more dynamic economy, opportunities to rise up the socio-economic ladder made integrating a more realistic and attractive option than in Europe. 

Germany and Sweden have helped lead the way in disastrous policymaking. And now, once again, Berlin has become unsafe for Jews and Gays. 

Tolerance wins. 

Jews and gay people should hide their identity in parts of Berlin with large Arab populations, the German capital’s police chief has warned.

“There are areas of the city, we need to be perfectly honest here, where I would advise people who wear a kippah or are openly gay to be more careful,” said Barbara Slowik.

“There are certain neighbourhoods where the majority of people of Arab origin live, who also have sympathies for terrorist groups,” she said, adding that they were often “openly hostile towards Jews”.

She told the Berliner Zeitung newspaper that “violent crimes against Jewish people are few and far between, but every act is one too many”.

A fortnight ago, a youth football team from Makkabi Berlin, a Jewish sports club, reported being “hunted down” by youths carrying sticks and knives after a match in an Arab neighbourhood of the city. The victims, aged 13 to 15, said they were spat at and insulted throughout the match.

The rise of antisemitism in Europe (and America) mirrors the path of bankruptcy: at first, it happened slowly, and then all at once. The drip drip drip has turned into a flood since October 7th of last year, and the streets of European cities are filled with Islamists demanding that the countries that opened their borders to the migrants now become Sharia states. 

Ironically, if you could call it that, many Muslim countries have been clamping down on Islamists as Europe chose to import them based on some bizarre notion of diversity being our strength. 

Since Oct 7 last year, Berlin’s police have opened more than 6,000 investigations connected to anti-Semitism, according to Ms Slowik. Most of these concern online hate speech or graffiti.

Other incidents in Berlin include a football fan being attacked for wearing a scarf with a Star of David on it, a petrol bomb attack on a synagogue shortly after the Oct 7 massacres in southern Israel, and a couple being attacked in a fast-food outlet for speaking Hebrew.

On the day of the Hamas massacres, men handed out sweets in celebration in the Berlin neighbourhood of Neukolln, an incident that shocked Germany and led to deep anxiety over whether the recent waves of migration had made Jewish life less safe.

"Shocked Germany?" Why, for heaven's sake, would they be shocked? It's not like they weren't warned, even by the Islamists who will happily tell you that they plan to replace the current European societies with medieval ones. As Arab countries normalize relations with Israel and silently cheer on Israel's destruction of Hamas and Hezbollah, Muslims in Europe are donning Hamas headbands and beginning to commit pogroms. 

This isn't a clash of civilizations because Islamism barely qualifies as a civilization, and Islamists aren't interested in being citizens of the West. They are happy to plunder the wealth provided by Western Civilization but want nothing to do with maintaining the regimes that create it. 

Angela Merkel helped lead the way to this brave new world based on the bizarre belief that increasing the diversity of Europe would make it more tolerant.

The opposite has happened. Tolerance is a Western value, and importing non-Westerners has been a disaster. 

Things are only going to get worse, and the transnational elite seem utterly unconcerned about the direction their society is going. 

Much the same thing happened in the waning years of the Roman Empire, and as you recall, that didn't end well. Back then it was the Germanic people who brought down the empire. 

This time it may be the Germans again, by proxy.
