The Final Word of the Day

Ed is still on reduced writing duty, so once again I am fulfilling our duty to point out important or interesting things that happened today but didn't make it into our blog posts for one reason or another.

For me the biggest and best news of the day is the appointment of Tulsi Gabbard to the position of Director of National Intelligence.

Honestly, I was a bit worried that she would have been made Secretary of Defense, where she would have done a fine job but not be in a position to do what I think she can do best: push back against the domestic security state.

Normally you wouldn't think of the DNI as being focused on domestic issues, and that is how it should be. Unfortunately, the intelligence "community" has been weaponized against Americans, and I think Tulsi is just the person to return the agencies to focusing on their proper roles.

There has always been too much overlap between our foreign intelligence agencies and domestic politics, but under Obama the CIA, NSA, and all the alphabet agencies became a weapon the transnational elite used to keep Americans in line. Homeland Security targeted Gabbard herself, and the CIA, NSA, and FBI were famously weaponized against Trump and his allies.

Let's hope she gets them under control.

If you haven't come to trust my judgment, what is WRONG with you?

I have been saying for a long time now that J.D. Vance was a superb choice for VP by Donald Trump, and I have been proven 100% right. Unlike almost every Vice Presidential choice in history, Vance moved votes to Trump.

He didn't do it by pandering, vapid fanboying, or being super political. He did it by being smart and normal. Once people got to know him they warmed to him.

More than that, Trump clearly trusted Vance. J.D. was at least an equal partner in messaging. Trump gave him the portfolio of being the press' foil, and he excelled at the job. Trump was the marketer, but J.D. did most of the product sales. He explained Trump's policies, ran circles around the media, and appealed to normal people.

In other words, I was right!

Kamala Harris has already been revealed to be a fraud, but as people sort through her campaign finance reports they keep finding ridiculous items that prove her strategy was based almost solely on buying support. She paid Beyonce, Oprah, countless "influencers," and...Al Sharpton.

Sharpton has always been a grifting charlatan, but you would have expected that the MSNBC blowhard would have given her a tongue bath without getting paid.

Nope.

Trump once joked that there would be so much winning under his presidency that we would get tired of it.

I'm not there yet, but this makes me one step closer to that point, if it is possible.

Liberal meltdowns, when they don't result in actual violence, can be hilarious to watch. I was this many years old when I learned that the heart emoji was racist, sexist, homophobic, and Nazi.

No comment is necessary. Two happy dudes having a good time.

Liberals are leaving X in droves. This happened before when Elon took over, and it stuck as well as Jen Rubin's resignation from the Washington Post. It won't last, or will never happen in many cases. X is where people talk.

On the other hand, if the liberals do stay away it will be good for conservatives. Not because our being in a bubble is a good thing--it decidedly is not!--but because liberals already are in too small a bubble, and the smaller their bubble gets, the more out of touch they become.

Racist liberals self-own all the time. Example #758598873588

They are like the southern slave owners whining that cotton will get more expensive now that they can't have slaves.

In my Sunday Smiles I do a lot of dog and cat videos. Tonight I celebrate the government adopting D.O.G.E.

This should be fun to watch, and a lot of House Republicans will breathe a sigh of relief. I wonder what Kevin McCarthy thinks right now.

Yep!

I could go on, but I have to be tanned, rested, and ready for another day of writing tomorrow.

Goodnight!
