Attacks on Americans Since 10/7: 74

As Anthony Blinken threatens Israel with a withdrawal of US support for the war in Gaza, few people have noticed that there is a one-sided war against America in the Middle East.

It is one-sided because the United States is just taking the punches without imposing any costs on the Iranians who are orchestrating these attacks. The US is still showering Iran with money and sanctions relief even though Iran is engaging in irregular warfare against our troops and assets in the region.

I shouldn’t be surprised because we are talking about Joe Biden’s administration. This is the president whose retaliation for killing American troops in Afghanistan was a drone strike against ten innocent civilians, including seven children. Now they are lecturing Israel after 1200 of its citizens died, were raped, kidnapped, or beheaded.

That the United States is suffering from sustained attacks in the Middle East should be big news. Still, as is often the case, the Biden Administration is convinced that the proper response to their weakness is to hide it, gaslight us, and divert attention. Protecting America and our allies never seems to occur to them.

The latest attack happened just after the Pentagon declared that they were subsiding, which again is on-brand for this administration. They never miss an opportunity to get things wrong. On Monday, the Military Times reported that the attacks had wound down.

The barrage of attacks on U.S. troops deployed in Iraq and Syria has subsided in recent days, a Pentagon spokesman told reporters on Monday.

After enduring dozens of attacks since mid-October, bases housing U.S. troops haven’t taken fire or spotted a drone bearing down since Nov. 23, Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder confirmed.

The Pentagon’s last count totaled 73 attacks, Ryder said. Those resulted in more than 60 injuries, including several dozen traumatic brain injuries, but all troops returned to duty soon after.

The U.S. military in response executed three strikes in Syria against facilities used by Iran-backed militias to house weapons and equipment, the latest of which was carried out Nov. 13.

Our response so far has been to hit minor targets, presumably because Biden is desperate to cut a deal with Iran. Even after this rash of attacks, the Biden Administration is giving $10 billion in sanctions relief to Iran.

Unbelievable.

The United States is funding the war against Israel and attacks against itself in the vain hope that we can beg, borrow, or steal a commitment from Iran to cease its efforts to get a nuclear weapon. Frankly, with the fools in Washington, it makes more sense for Iran to reach a nuclear breakout and then stop so they can blackmail the United States into funding their brutal government forever. Having the threat of nuclear weapons has proven quite profitable.

Any hope that the United States will pursue an intelligent policy with Joe Biden in the White House will be vain. Biden has unerringly awful instincts and has been slow-walking us into World War III. Maybe not even so slowly.

Biden must go. Biden’s advisors must go. And most importantly, Obama’s influence on White House policies must go because, ultimately, his influence has gotten us to this disastrous point.
