It couldn’t have been scripted better by the Babylon Bee.
There may be some ambiguity about whether the Nutcracker they released as a holiday decoration is gay or transgender, but I vote for the latter.
If you're wondering whether or not to take @WPATH seriously, just remember this:
In its most recent Standards of Care, WPATH declared Eunuch as a new gender identity that should receive "gender affirming care." [https://t.co/27i5i5BUrB, Chap 9] pic.twitter.com/Y713nOatJR

After all, WPATH recognizes “Eunuch” as a gender, and nothing says eunuch more than a person who squeezes the genitals of men with his mouth to create a eunuch.
Nutcracker? Get it?
Target's 'gay nutcracker' Christmas ornament sparks backlash https://t.co/4mwBG1pv4j

Lest you think I am joking, the LGBT Nutcracker is a real thing, and I suppose the true test of Target’s wisdom in releasing it comes from whether it helps or hurts sales.
Reviews of two LGBTQ+-styled nutcracker ornaments sold by Target have become deeply polarized after a Fox News report—but seemingly not because of the culture war over inclusive merchandise.
“Gay nutcracker, complete with a rainbow hat, a trans flag—full price, $12, but right now it’s on sale for $8,” Fox News host Jesse Watters told viewers with a smirk on Thursday night. “Target also sells Santa ornaments, but Target Santa is in a wheelchair and is Black.” The retailer also sells white Santa ornaments, and a white version of the Santa in a wheelchair.
Target was one of several brands to face a backlash and calls for a boycott earlier in the year over its LGBTQ+ Pride range, being accused of going “woke.” While experts have said such corporate advocacy provides an opportunity for brands to appeal to consumers in new markets, critics have accused companies of alienating their traditional customer base.
The nutcracker ornament Watters was referring to is painted with a rainbow motif and is holding the “progress” Pride flag, which merges the traditional LGBTQ+ flag with others representing transgender individuals and Black and brown people in the community. As of 4 a.m. ET, reviews of the product on Target’s website were split between 53 percent giving five stars and 47 percent giving one star.
Opinions on the Nutcracker seem to be evenly split, although chances are that none of the people reviewing it have purchased one. The reviews are a proxy poll, of course. That a small majority seem to like the idea might lead you to believe that Target will sell out of the item because the people who like the idea will no doubt buy one in support, but the real test is how the statement Target is making sits with its customers, and recent history suggests that this won’t help sales.
Those 47% probably won’t be as inclined to shop there, and at least some will follow through on their distaste of the brand by avoiding Target. Marginal declines in customer loyalty matter quite a bit to retailers.
Target also sells Black Santas in wheelchairs, which I might rush out to get simply because the absurdity amuses me.
the inappropriate humor side of me is still stuck on “gay nutcracker” – so that’s not an adult film somewhere??? https://t.co/4bvnzYTMp0

Honestly, the Eunuch-creating nutcracker and the disabled Black Santa are not, in themselves, a threat to the culture. In a sense we shouldn’t care that much.
Except as symbols of the elite’s desire to rewrite all our cultural stories it matters quite a bit. Any one person wanting a “diverse” Santa is a quirk; the need of major corporations to spit in the eye of average people is a microcosm of their hatred for you and me.
And it is nothing less than hatred–a deep-seated emotion that supersedes the corporations’ responsibility to their shareholders to make money. No doubt Target will lose sales because they are making their brand toxic to some people.
“Virtue signaling” may be a good strategy when your customers agree that you are signaling actual virtue, like Target’s minuscule donations to schools. But as the informal poll found in the reviews shows, lots of people don’t see the attitudes signaled to be virtuous, but rather offensive.
The Left loves this sort of thing because it gets their outrage meter pegged–they can attack the small-mindedness of Americans.
WTF is wrong with Jesse Watters? Stores don't have to make mythical icons match his myopic, prissy white, ableist, and straight(ish) world view. There's no copyright on The Nutcracker, jackass. #WatteredDownTuckerWannabe https://t.co/Hqfarg5dLf

But of course, nobody likes to feel attacked, and that is how Middle America rightly feels right now. Many of the people loving the Target Eunuch Creator also love Hamas, and for the same reason: they reject Western culture. These people would be highly offended if the Right turned a Native American icon into Snow White. That would be cultural appropriation.
For God’s sake, these people get offended when Whites make Asian or Mexican food.
Myself? I just love the idea that Target thinks that “Nutcracker” and LGBT belong in the same sentence. Are they really endorsing using one’s mouth to castrate?
It sure seems that way.
Nutcracker. Heh.
