Another week, another edition of Sunday Smiles.

I do these for multiple reasons, the most important of which is that we could use a mind cleanser after a tough week.

It’s also fun to ridicule the absurdities that surround us. And searching for these gives me a break from being enraged at what is happening to our country.

Rage doesn’t help, although it is hard to avoid. It is like panic; giving in to it leads nowhere good. That’s why I love The Babylon Bee so much. You get belly laughs when you need them most.

My own somewhat lame attempts at humor are always spontaneous. I couldn’t tell a joke if my life depended on it. Thankfully such situations are relatively rare in life. Nobody has yet come up to me on the street and demanded “A joke or your life!” Let’s hope the trend continues.

I can’t tell you how great it is that I get so much positive feedback on these weekly posts. They actually are the result of many hours of scouring the interwebs for decent memes. I of course am relying upon the creativity of many others–I have yet to make a decent meme–but I am confident that every person who invests the time to make a meme did so in the hope that they would be shared liberally.
