I admit that I love this story. It captures the sheer idiocy of modern-day America.

By now it’s abundantly clear that the demand for racism in America far exceeds the supply. There simply are not enough people with a fondness for white sheets, pointed hoods, and an obsession with highly concentrated melanin levels in the epidermis. Most of us just don’t care anymore because we have better things to think about.

Like paying for groceries, or worrying that the banking system is about to collapse. Or that Biden will drag us into WWIII.

The Left needs rampant racism to justify their policies, though. Intersectional oppression is a religion to the Left, and while Blacks have moved down the ranks of the oppressed compared to trans-activists, they still rank pretty high. So the Left needs Black victims.

Without a constant supply of hate crimes, they will have to come up with new reasons to scare people to vote for them. One tool they use to scare up hate crimes is to incentivize victimhood. If you can claim to be a victim of racism you will get 15 minutes of fame, celebrated as a hero standing up to the tide of “hate” that is drowning the country. Nothing says “hero” quite like a microaggression victim. An actual aggression? Jackpot!

Enter Jussie Smollett, the 3rd-rate actor on the show “Empire,” who sought to boost his career by claiming to be a victim of White Supremacists in Chicago. He hired two Nigerian brothers, Abimbola “Bola” and Olabinjo “Ola” Osundairo, to sorta kinda beat him up on a deadly-cold Chicago night. He instructed them to hurl invectives, scream “this is MAGA country,” and leave a bruise or two to make the attack look real.

The world went nuts, loving every minute of the hate hoax. It fits a Leftist narrative, with a gay black actor just minding his business walking alone with a Subway sandwich and getting attacked by hateful White Supremacists bent on creating a racially pure America. Because such things happen when Donald Trump exists.

They were vile Trump supporters, of course! It could only have been better if Smollett were transgender. That would have been perfect. But alas, he was only Black and gay. Still, pretty good victim points, even if he is rich and privileged.

You had to be an idiot to actually believe the attack happened, but the Left played along for months. They did everything they could to hype the story, attack MAGA-types, and play the victim. This, if ever there could be, was proof that America was descending into a racist and homophobic hellscape!

Did I say they were MAGAts?! They were, you know!

So they played along. Chicago police play-investigated. The prosecutor pretended to take it seriously, as she was as radical as they come, and the MSM sympathized with Smollett and lectured the nation on its original sin. Or rather, the sinfulness of Donald Trump and his supporters.

When the story unraveled, it was glorious. Tom Wolfe could not have written the story better. It was as if a new chapter of  “Bonfire of the Vanities” was written for our enjoyment.

Now, after years, the brothers who aided Smollett with his hate hoax are speaking out, and it, too, is glorious. They are charming, intelligent, and funny, and it turns out they are better actors than Jussie himself. And, as Nigerians, they fit yet another stereotype: the Nigerian scammers.

Their descriptions of the night’s events are, in a bizarre way, riveting. These two very Black men laugh through their description of how they followed the poorly-written script Smollett provided for them. The racist slurs, the homophobic rant. The “this is MAGA country” shout. Not exactly Aaron Sorkin, but they clearly put their heart into acting out the script.

They need their own TV show! If Fox Nation’s interview were an audition, they passed with flying colors.

The Atlanta Black Star has a wonderful story on the Fox series, characterizing it perfectly: “This Is Embarrassing and Yet Entertaining.” I agree.

They also note that the reaction to it from the Left is as you would expect: attacking Fox for discussing the story at all.

Since it undermines the Left’s narrative, it must not be spoken of. Just as every other hate hoax is memory-holed, once they are revealed. They of course were hyped beyond all reason up to that point, despite not a single sentient person actually believing they were true. Trotsky and Stalin never worked together either.

We must pretend that America is irredeemable, and must be overthrown. So the MSM and the Left pretend away.

Ola said he followed up by pouring bleach and hot sauce on the actor before he placed a noose on Jussie’s head. From the beginning, many on social media doubted the validity of Jussie’s claims. Reactions to the video were just as plentiful.

“This is embarrassing and yet entertaining on so many levels.”

“@foxnews there’s no reason for this documentary at all. You all know what you’re doing and it’s sickening.”

The Black Star’s characterization of the interview though presents a problem for the Left. It is impossible to look away. The brothers are just so much damn fun to watch.

Will it penetrate into the public consciousness and remind people of how stupid the Leftist narrative is? For a moment, but no longer. The Left really does control the narrative, alas.

After all, it is no accident that it is Fox that is doing this documentary on the Smollett hoax. Nobody else in the MSM would want to touch it.

Because it ruins their narrative too.
