Nikki Fried, the failed Florida gubernatorial candidate who lost the Democrat primary to Charlie Crist, is now the Chair of the Democrat Party in that state.

I guess Democrats want to continue their losing streak, although as a Republican in Minnesota, I can’t make too much fun of their judgment. Their Democrats suck, but our Republicans suck too.

As you know, Governor DeSantis is the subject of a smear campaign claiming that he is a fascist book burner, and in response, he released a video detailing the contents of the books his Department of Education is removing from schools. The contents are so disturbing that the Democrats are accusing him of spreading pornography to “own the libs.”

Uh, what… DeSantis is a fascist for removing the books, yet revealing the contents of the books is spreading offensive materials and proving he is a pornographer or something.

You can’t make this up, and I didn’t. I blacked out the photograph she posted because it is, as she says, pornographic. She also admits that “of course it doesn’t belong in schools.” Exactly the opposite of what she and other Democrats have been claiming for months.

It really is a remarkable twist of logic. DeSantis shouldn’t remove books. DeSantis is a pornographer for showing the books publicly. And it is DeSantis’ fault that these books that should never have been in the schools were there in the first place. But he shouldn’t remove the books because doing so is fascist.

Uh, what? I am pretty sure that doesn’t make a lick of sense.

Fried went on to claim that nobody actually wants these books in the schools, in the classic “it isn’t happening its good that it’s happening how dare you show that it is happening nobody wants it to happen you are a fascist for doing anything about it. Fascist fascist fascist fascist” rant.

The Left is twisting itself up in knots because they are caught. Ron DeSantis, unlike so many Republicans who ineffectually complain about what is happening, is actually bringing the receipts.

And it is glorious. He has his critics twisting themselves up in knots, utterly incapable of doing anything but sputter. And sputter. And sputter.

Other Leftists are jumping in to embarrass themselves, claiming–because they cannot defend the books themselves–that nobody is actually putting them in schools or even wants them there.

Well, uh, how about The Washington Post and literally every other liberal media outlet in the country, as well as the teachers and librarians pushing them at kids relentlessly? They want these books in the schools and are attacking everybody who doesn’t.

You know, those people.

We keep on fighting the Left with abstract arguments. It clearly doesn’t work. We lose the battles because we don’t force the Left to defend the specifics, but merely the abstract. Nobody wants to defend censorship in the abstract–although we are not promoting censorship but rather curation–but then again nobody wants to defend the specifics of what is being pushed in the schools. Make them defend each specific case. Every single one.

Like the books that suggest kids go to Grindr, where adults go to hook up. Make them defend that.

As Nikki Fried put it: it is porn and not fit for promotion in schools.

I wrote a piece about this issue earlier in the week, providing the pictures. I took them down because people rightly objected to the content being available on a webpage available to children.

Which, obviously, is the point. If you can’t display the images where children can see them, then they shouldn’t be handed out to 10-year-olds.

Well duh.

We need to make the Democrats actually defend the specifics of what they are promoting. They can’t. They use euphemisms, weaponize compassion, and twist us up in knots with ridiculous accusations we ineffectually defend against.

The simple fact is that the Democrats are defending pornography, pedophilia, sterilizing and mutilating children, and murdering babies just minutes from being born. It is indefensible and we should force them to defend it.
