Yes, I know. I am not exactly telling you anything that you don’t already know or suspect.

But it gets worse every day, despite the fact that the West is engaged in a proxy war that may draw us in, and facing a serious threat of a hot near-peer war with China.

Today’s example of woke idiocy invading a Western military comes from Canada, our near-useless ally to the north. Before you shrug, Canada has not always been useless, their soldiers having been courageous participants in many military operations alongside the US and other NATO allies. Our partnership with the country in air defense was vital during the Cold War, and we even shot down a balloon for them.

But Canada has caught the woke disease that is sweeping the Western world. And now, despite Canada having almost no history of slavery and relatively few Black citizens–most people of color in Canada are of Asian descent–the Canadian military is teaching that White people are inherently racist and need to become allies and “anti-racists.”

Militaries used to be ruthlessly meritocratic, but now they apparently exist to promote social agendas.

Canada’s military is hurdling forward with a new “anti-racist” policy informed by the concepts of critical race theory and white privilege.

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has redefined being racist as anybody who believes in “equality but not equity” or those who “refuse to engage in self-reflection and education to address their own” supposedly racist beliefs.

This is according to the Department of National Defence’s (DND) Director Anti-Racism Implementation “Anti-Racism Toolkit”, which is meant to be taught to serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The woke long ago took over education in all other sectors of society, but the military used to be immune to this destructive ideology. For a simple reason: the job of the military is not to enforce a social justice agenda, but the defend a country and its military allies.

Apparently, that is now a secondary consideration. Having a captive audience that is by design forced to comply with the diktats of their superiors made the military too juicy a target for the politically powerful. The top echelons of the military are essentially political appointees, so going down this path is ridiculously easy.

The same sort of thing is happening in the US military, where anti-racist and transgender ideologies are supplanting meritocracy and devotion to the mission.
