As a late boomer/early Gen X kid (b. 1964) I grew up at a time when gay rights were gaining steam, but hardly mainstream. My parents worked in academia, though, so I got to know a few gays and they were pretty normal–certainly they didn’t behave as if every day were a gay pride parade. They were no more weird than any other physics grad students.
And none of them struck me as predators. I am sure that there are gay predators, just as there are straight predators. But the only sexual abuser I have known of was a straight man.
So my rant about the current explosion of grooming and its relationship to the current gender ideology is not intended as a slur toward gays, or even directed at the older generation of trans folks who genuinely suffered from gender dysphoria. This latter group is beyond my ken–I literally cannot understand it–but so are anorexics. Body dysmorphia is a very rare but real phenomenon, and while I doubt medicalizing it is wise, I don’t associate it with the kind of sexual perversion we see everywhere today.
Today’s gender movement is, I believe, driven by sexual perversion and fantasies, not body dysmorphias. It is clearly aimed at expanding the boundaries of accepted sexuality and it has taken particular aim at children. It is not just perverse–sexual perversity is not uncommon in the age of pornographic overload–it is what a Catholic like me would characterize as demonic. Choose your own word to describe evil, but that is its nature.
As with many of the evils that abound today it wraps itself in a cloak of “compassion” for people who are suffering some ill. It appropriates the pain of others, claims that pain for itself, and attacks the roots of our social norms in the name of liberating and celebrating victims. Almost none of the people involved are either victims or compassionate. They are predators indoctrinating and grooming children to become members of a cult.
The commanding heights of our culture are filled with such predators. Concentrated in academia, education, and the arts, they also have allies in the political and corporate classes. The majority of the latter have been, I believe, intimidated into their support and just going along for the ride, but some fraction of them clearly subscribe to and are members of that cult. You don’t get Sam Brinton in a position of power and celebrated without some very powerful backing.
Brinton is a good example, not just because he was a pervert. He is also proof that dysphoria is not the root of this phenomenon. As a “non-binary” person he was more than comfortable with his body. He paraded it around, displayed and even practiced his fetishes openly (teaching bondage classes is not the behavior of a dysphoric person, but a sexual deviant who loved to display his sexual activities in public). He clearly enjoyed risk-taking (hence his stealing women’s luggage), and the powers-that-be celebrated it all.

This was sexual fetishism, not some “medical” condition. He didn’t even really pretend that it was. He was just a perverted gay man who liked to dress in women’s clothing and pretend that his lovers were dogs. He was an abuser and reveled in it. As did his supporters, obviously.
Average Americans are being taken in by apologists for this type of behaviors because their impulse is to believe that nobody in power–certainly not doctors, psychologists, cultural leaders, or politicians–could actually be this awful. I have long believed that the predators have gotten so far not because they hide it well, but because it is so awful and perverted that normal people can’t wrap their mind around it. Giving books to children that cannot be read aloud at a school board meeting because it would violate FCC regulations? C’mon! You must be an insane conspiracy theorist!
Those of us who fight this battle look more than a little kooky to average folks because we are relying on facts that appear ridiculous on their face. Such things simply cannot be true.
But they are. If you look anywhere these days, you find sexual predation of children. It isn’t a conspiracy because it is out in the open, just not acknowledged.
Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of teachers, claims that we are interested in banning To Kill a Mockingbird. She throws out a lot of well-regarded books and claims we want to ban them, discrediting our drive to get grooming books out of school libraries. But one of these things is not like the other. Gender Queer and Huck Finn are not in the same category.

Twitter won’t show you the pictures from a book that Weingarten defends–just as Randi won’t–because they are too pornographic to display without a warning. Needless to say, the images are about getting a kid to perform sex acts.
The teachers’ union directs kids to LGBT resources–through badges to be worn by teachers in class–that inform kids how to sign up for gay hookup sites. That, too, isn’t dysphoria. It is recruitment of kids to be used as sexual objects.

Mainstream publications front for “queer” cultural influencers who are pedophiles. Teachers secretly recruit students to become gender diverse. It is all intended to mainstream this sexual perversion and recruit kids into the sexual cult.
The medicalization of gender ideology is also good business, and reinforces and even traps kids into a life outside basic social norms. Not only are children being mutilated and sterilized, they are punished both physically (being permanently altered) and ostracized for leaving it. “Detransitioning” is portrayed as a betrayal.
‘Family friendly” drag shows aren’t. They are burlesque performances–which in themselves are not evil. But they are aimed at children. Which is evil.

You can find videos from these shows where children are encouraged to rub the crotches of the performers. Even when this doesn’t happen all of them are totally inappropriate for young children.
The Left goes crazy when we accuse them of grooming children, and I would too if I were accused of that vile crime. Except the Left IS grooming children, and the evidence is right before our eyes. It is even celebrated in the MSM, if not under that name.

This has been going on for years. We only notice it because it has become more and more mainstream as the first generation groomed by these vile creatures has grown up enough to become teachers and school librarians…and nuclear waste bureaucrats.
There is not and could not possibly be an explosion in genuine gender dysphoria. The phenomenon has been around and recognized for generations, and there is no evidence to suggest that vast numbers of people experience it today in a way that was never true.
This is a very dangerous change in social norms–normalizing sexual perversions–combined with a grooming epidemic and social media recruiting. They are building a cult. And like many cults, sexuality is one of the things that is used to separate people from normie society.
I am thrilled to see that the backlash has begun, although my confidence that it will grow strong enough any time soon is not great. It is already too late to save thousands of kids, although it is never too late to stop it.
Pedophiles and groomers come in all shapes and sizes, from all sexualities and backgrounds. We’re policing OUR community and the narrative coming from it to say NO. We won’t allow them to continue doing so in our name.

Still, we are gaining allies, and the space for speaking up seems to be growing. Certainly we cannot give up the fight, because this is about saving kids from exploitation and decades of regret.
And saving our civilization.
