The American Academy of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Children’s Hospital Association are now asking the Justice Department to sic the FBI on critics of transgender sterilization and mutilation of children.

If you are an ally of the Left, you can call on the US Justice Department and the FBI to go after your critics and shut them up. Preferably by putting them in jail, but censorship and intimidation might work as well.

The National School Boards Association followed this playbook, and while the Justice Department and the FBI took some real backlash for labeling angry parents domestic terrorists. They also managed to chill a lot of parental speech. It turns out that nobody likes being under FBI investigation. As Lavrentiy Beria, head of Joseph Stalin’s secret police in the Soviet Union said, “Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime.”

Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a Secret Police.

The invaluable Christopher Rufo broke the story about the AMA yesterday:

The letter is filled with smears, half-truths, and in some cases baseless accusations. It also reveals what we all knew to be true, which is that the medical establishment is working diligently with the social media companies to silence their critics–and the social media companies are happy to do so. As I noted before my Facebook account was restricted the day after I started writing for HotAir. But my punishment for dissent is nothing compared to what others have suffered.

LibsofTikTok has been under relentless attack for months, both before and after Taylor Lorenz of the Washington Post stalked her, doxxed her, drove her out of her profession, and showed up at her relative’s door. Ironically, Lorenz did exactly what she was wrongly accusing others of doing to her. But in the view of the elite establishment they have a right to punish dissent from the approved Narrative™.

Rufo published the letter to Merrick Garland on Twitter, and the contents are remarkable and chilling.

As you can see in the highlighted portion they turn legitimate reporting and criticism of their practices into a “coordinated attack” on what they are doing, as if revealing their practices and showing videos produced by the very people who are complaining is outside the bounds of first-amendment protected activity.

It’s not like there isn’t ample precedent for the establishment conducting barbarous experiments on innocents. Lobotomies were so common that the inventor got a Nobel Prize, and the government’s Tuskegee experiment was similarly evil.   If citizens can’t stand up and decry barbarism in any form, our society is doomed.

And doomed is what the Left wants our society to be. They have shouted from the rooftops that America is systemically racist, sexist, homophobic, colonizing blah blah blah and that we need to upend everything to get social justice. The establishment is all-in on remaking America into their image–as long as they get to be the vanguard of the revolution. Since they control the education establishment, the tech platforms, and the means of government coercion they have all the tools they need to enforce their will.

Us? We have the voting booth, and it is our task to use it to good effect.

The medical establishment insists that they are providing care to suffering patients out of compassion. That is simply not true. There is big money at stake and they are unashamed to say that in private:

The corruption and evil at the heart of this movement–and at the heart of our institutions and government, need to be opposed. If you are not voting with these issues top of mind, what is wrong with you? We can disagree on taxes, spending, and a host of other issues, but if you have a choice between a candidate who opposes grooming and mutilating children and one who supports it, your choice is very clear. We simply have to stop this.

And we need to derange the Biden Administration, and impeach Merrick Garland as soon as possible. The US Justice Department is being turned into the Democrat Secret Police, and that simply must end.
