The leak that rocked America is the chief topic on this morning’s Sunday shows, unsurprisingly, and the man whose state is in the eye of the storm is booked as the star guest. Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves will speak with “State of the Union” about the pro-life movement’s looming victory in the Dobbs case and whether he plans to stick with the statute that inspired that lawsuit once Roe goes. Mississippi currently bans abortion after 15 weeks; without Roe to stop them, the state legislature could ban abortion entirely. Is he prepared to go that route?

Following him on “State of the Union” will be ardent pro-choicer Kirsten Gillibrand, one of several Democrats scheduled to warn that civilization itself will end once abortion on demand does. Amy Klobuchar is set for “This Week” to make the same point while Nancy Pelosi will chat with “Face the Nation.” Each will be asked what our Democratic-controlled Congress purports to do to keep abortion legal nationally if Alito’s draft opinion in the Dobbs case holds. Spoiler: Nothing, unless and until Joe Manchin has a serious change of heart.

Apart from Reeves, no conservative Republicans are lined up this morning to defend the reasoning in Dobbs. The closest thing is … Lindsey Graham, who’ll guest on “Fox News Sunday.” The GOP is nervous about the politics of Roe being overturned and prefers not to address the matter until it absolutely has to. Sometime later this spring or very early summer, it’ll have to.

Finally, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan will talk with “This Week” about his entirely futile effort to convince the Republican Party to pivot away from Trumpism. The full line-up is at the AP.
