To cleanse the palate, you might think from the headline that this post wouldn’t have Ukraine content. But you’re wrong. You’ll see.

This clip from last night’s meeting of the Plano City Council has gone viral for obvious reasons. The speaker is a comedian named Alex Stein, who has a YouTube channel and a fondness for availing himself of public comment opportunities at city council meetings. He pulled the same stunt in Dallas two months ago.

The Plano City Council didn’t know that, obviously.

But sometimes Stein isn’t the only comedian at these meetings. In Dallas he was followed by a guy named Cassady Campbell, who was there last night too. Imagine being a city council member watching Stein get through his routine, thinking it’s back to business, only to have Campbell come to the mic.

Congratulations to the city of Plano on having solved all of its actual problems, turning council meetings into open-mic night for comics.
