Whoopi warns Republicans: "Get out of my behind! Get out of my vagina!"

No need to ask twice. Done and done.

The second-best line from this morning’s “View” panel about Kennedy’s retirement, per Newsbusters, came from an exasperated Joy Behar: “Yeah. Let’s have everybody a Republican. The Supreme Court, the Congress, the presidency! What is that called? Dictatorship I believe!” Indeed. The kind of dictatorship in which the dictator can’t repeal ObamaCare or even get a purely symbolic piece of immigration legislation through the House because they’re pitifully inept morons.

Also the kind of “dictatorship” which, per Behar’s definition, Democrats have enjoyed within her own lifetime. Remember the 60s, Joy?

Whoopi’s abortion rant is next-level, though:

I don’t like hearing, again, that I’m trying to take your rights away. I have to tell you, as a woman, I think you’re trying to take my rights away. Okay? You don’t care. [ Applause ]

And as a person, who believes in the constitution which tells me that I have the right to be myself and do the things I want to do, and I don’t have to listen to what your religion is, and I don’t have to listen to what you want it to be I have to make sure that as an American citizen, I’m doing the right stuff and taking care of business.

I don’t like this line that I, as a Democrat, or an independent or whatever is trying to take away anything from you. I’m trying to hold onto my personal rights so that you can have the rights you want. See? Because if you take mine, I feel like you’re the one with the problem. If you take my right away from me, to judge what I do for my family and my body, I got a little problem with that. You got a problem. You don’t want people to take your guns? Get out of my behind! Get out of my vagina! Get out!

Meghan McCain tried explaining her that the calculus on whether you have the right to “do the things I want to do” changes when the thing you want to do is murder but Whoopi’s of the opinion that it should be left to each of us as individuals to decide whether suctioning out a baby’s brain is “murder” or not. Yes if its head is out of the birth canal, presumably, and no if it isn’t. (Or yes then too??) And of course Democrats are happy, even eager, to restrict other rights notwithstanding people wanting to do the things they want to do. It’s not just guns, it’s speech: Twice this past week the liberal minority on the Court supported laws that compel people to speak in ways that undermine their own interests. The left has fought for decades to beef up campaign finance laws to prevent people from spending money to support the candidates and policies they prefer. Polls show considerable support on the left for laws that would criminalize “hate speech.” The left doesn’t give one wet Shiite how much you want to do the things you want to do if preventing you from doing it would serve their sense of the greater good. (See also, e.g., the individual mandate.)

So here’s McCain, observing that perhaps the greater good might be served by not tearing babies limb from limb and suddenly all the Democrats on the panel are hardcore libertarians. Even in the unlikely event that the Court overturns Roe, blue states across the country would move quickly in the aftermath to legalize abortion by statute and Whoopi’s righteous fury will shift from “I want to do what I want to do” to “I want to do what I want to do and I don’t want to have to spend two hours on a Greyhound bus to the next state to do it.” Whatever.
