Sunday morning talking heads

No Trump this fine holiday weekend morning but the Sunday-show bookers have brought you the next best thing, interviews with his two campaign managers. Paul Manafort will be on “This Week” to deny that he’s trying to destroy Corey Lewandowski while Lewandowski will be on “Fox News Sunday” to deny that he’s trying to destroy Manafort. Hopefully we’ll get to the bottom of whether Trump’s campaign offices have been bugged and who might have an interest in doing that. Expect questions too about why the ultimate anti-establishment candidate has now handed over his campaign to the establishment and why a political entity run by a man who’s worth $10 billion could possibly be running low on cash.

Elsewhere, Marco Rubio will be on “State of the Union” for the full hour with Jake Tapper to further explain his doubly self-serving transition from #NeverTrump in the primaries to #AlwaysConArtist now. And Arnold Schwarzenegger will be on “Meet the Press” to discuss replacing Trump on “Celebrity Apprentice” and lord knows what else. To think, if not for Article II’s Natural-Born Clause, this year’s primaries might have boiled down to Trump versus Ahnuld. #NeverTrump or #NeverTerminator? The full line-up is at the AP.
