End of the road for the months-long tradition of shootouts between Republican candidates on Sunday morning. Trump is all that’s left: He’ll be on “Meet the Press” and “This Week” to remind America of how disgusting the Clintons are and to elaborate on his master plan to make America great again by wrecking its credit. Hillary herself, meanwhile, will be on “Face the Nation” to remind America of how disgusting Trump is and to try to find some kind words to say about Bernie Sanders while explaining why he must be crushed. Only six more months to go.

If you’re looking for fun this morning, tune into “State of the Union” for a near-reunion of the 2008 ticket: John McCain is the lead guest, followed by Sarah Palin. (Or maybe they’ll be on together? I doubt McCain would agree to that, but maybe Tapper can work some magic.) That’s a neat balance of the two types of Republican Trump supporters, very enthusiastic in Palin’s case and very I-have-no-choice-if-I-want-to-get-reelected in McCain’s. As for #NeverTrumpers, “Face the Nation” is the place to be. Matt Schlapp, head of the American Conservative Union (which runs CPAC), will appear to discuss whether he’ll endorse Trump. I’d guess yes, although after Trump snubbed the conference this year, there’s at least a little doubt. Schlapp will be followed by Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention and a harsh Trump critic throughout the primaries. He’s almost certainly #NeverTrump. But then, I would have said the same thing about Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal and look how that turned out. The full line-up is at the AP.
