To cleanse the palate, a minor viral sensation on Twitter today that’s (slightly) ahead of the cultural curve. Ten days from now, the entirety of American news will be reviews of “The Force Awakens” and breathless write-ups of whatever Trump said five minutes ago. Might as well combine the “Star Wars” chocolate and the “Make America Great Again” peanut butter into one delicious video candy now.

I think it’s safe for Trump fans to laugh at this too, for what it’s worth. A basic rule of modern partisanship is that you don’t laugh at jokes at your own side’s expense, whether or not they’re true or funny, but at worst this is a mild goof on how random and innocuous most of Trump’s stream-of-consciousness blather on the stump is.
