Video: Angelic li'l moppets swear like sailors at Trump over immigration

Via Joel Pollak, this seems familiar — for a good reason, as it turns out. The same guy responsible for that viral vid last year of little girls frenetically dropping F-bombs in support of feminism is running the PAC responsible for this. His advertising strategy is cynical but shrewd. If you want to start a political video circulating online, you can double your chances by getting young kids to behave like really boorish adults. The left will gawk at it admiringly and pass it around on the theory that you can’t be too young or too angry when it comes to denouncing Social Injustice. Everyone else will gawk at it contemptibly and pass it around as evidence of how repulsive the left is in its fervor. Either way, it’s going to go viral. Win/win for the advertiser.

On the PAC’s website they’re calling on people to disrupt Trump’s SNL performance this weekend. That show has become a surprising focal point for his critics lately:

On Wednesday, more than a dozen of the nation’s leading Hispanic groups are planning to hold a “Dump Trump” rally outside 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where “Saturday Night Live” is taped. Latino and immigration groups also plan to deliver a petition, with 460,000 signatures, calling on NBC Studios and Mr. Michaels to drop Mr. Trump…

On Monday, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus issued a statement also calling on NBC Universal and Mr. Michaels “to disinvite Mr. Trump”…

“When a TV personality calls Mexicans and Latinos criminals and rapists, a corporate network should not give him 90 minutes of free airtime in an entertainment venue without his first apologizing to the American people,” Representative Luis V. Gutiérrez, Democrat of Illinois, said in a statement. “Did I miss an apology?”…

On Tuesday, speaking at the Trump Tower before signing copies of his new book, Mr. Trump seemed undaunted. “Oh, good, it will get even higher ratings,” he said. “It’s going to be one of the highest-rated shows ever.”

Their fear, I think, isn’t just that SNL’s going to do big ratings, it’s that Trump is smart enough to use the opportunity to charm audiences by making fun of himself. It’s a cinch that people who watch will like him more afterward than they did before (which is why there’s some grumbling out there about equal time for other candidates). There’s never been that guarantee with any of his debate or cable-news performances. And also, it’s a way for Latino groups to try to flex some muscle and remind advertisers that they’re prepared to organize in the future even if they can’t stop Trump this time. That might be worth a few concessions from NBC even if the show goes on this weekend. Maybe Luis Gutierrez can be a judge on “The Voice” or whatever.

Here’s your content warning on the clip. “Ricardo” is a good enough actor that I can see him as a lead on a new R-rated “Sesame Street” in some post-apocalyptic, Bernie-Sanders-led America.
