A famous actor (never mind former governor) in costume as his most iconic character, a figure recognizable instantly by people around the world, hamming it up on the streets of Hollywood for laughs to promote his new flick? I can’t think of another example. I wonder what the customers at Madame Tussaud’s thought during that first flash of fear after “the statue” moved. Did they think it was animatronics or just a really, really, really good Schwarzenegger impersonator? The odds that it might be the genuine article pranking people were so small that it probably didn’t occur to them at all.
