Lots of Shinseki fallout on this morning’s Sunday shows, as you might expect: Bernie Sanders and (sigh) John McCain will face-off over next steps in Congress on “Face the Nation” while veterans Rep. Adam Kinzinger and Paul Rieckhoff of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America will discuss the future of the VA on “Meet the Press.” What makes this a very special Sunday, though, is not one but two guest appearances by Susan “Spontaneous Protest” Rice, who’ll be rolling out some new talking points on Edward Snowden on “This Week” and “State of the Union.” She told reporters a few days ago that, contra Snowden’s claims, he wasn’t trained as a spy. Tune in today to find out which dubious White House spin bloggers will be debunking in weeks to come.
If you’re not up for that, Mike Bloomberg is the star guest on “Meet the Press” to talk Snowden (wants him prosecuted), guns (wants ’em banned), and his new status as conservatism’s greatest hero. The full line-up is at Politico.
